Description
AVLI. Modern Greek is a contemporary Greek courtyard in Bali — a place where food, music, and shared moments come alive, where you feel not only the format but life itself.
At AVLI, the courtyard remains the heart of the home. That's where people gather over food and conversation, simply to be together under the open sky. We believe in the Greek rhythm of life, where good cuisine, music, company, and a touch of movement turn an evening into something real. Nothing here is staged, everything is genuine, light, vivid, alive.
It is a place where, by day, you can shelter from the heat in the shade of vine leaves, enjoy lunch with friends, share meze, and linger over unhurried conversations. The name sounds soft and effortless, evoking a sense of freedom and warmth.
Indigo dyeing is a traditional craft in Bali. The pigment is derived from the shrubs Indigofera Tinctoria and Suffruticosa, cultivated for centuries as a natural dye.
We created original prints using indigo ink and etching press, imprinting local plants and herbs used in cooking onto the paper. The resulting posters feature illustrations that evoke the feeling of a Balinese garden, a Greek palette, and Balinese indigo.
