Задача
Insight
For the long time since 1930’s skateboarding was unofficial sport.
Situation changed in 2016, it was announced that skateboarding will be
represented at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. This major event shift this
discipline to the next level and brings recognition around the globe.
Idea
Samsung takes this advantage to reimagine skateboarding.
Solution
We turned a usual skateboard with 4 x Samsung Galaxy S10’s gyroscopes
connected with a small tiny microcontroller that allows in real-time transmit
data to the application on a smartphone.
The application analyzes data such as speed, altitude, and rotation of board and converts to
in advance prepared tricks. The athlete is able to overview all tricks and performance on smartphone and get notification into wearable gadget such as Galaxy Watch and make better each trick.
These changes don't affect to original layout, weight, and construction of the skateboard.
Galaxy Board now helps to Do What You Can’t.
