2020 has been officially declared as the Year of Volunteer in Kazakhstan. In our country sporadic community cleanup activities or passive event participation are often mistaken for volunteering, while volunteers are seen as source of free labor.
SOLUTION:
We created a series of 24 episodes with the self-explanatory title “One day with volunteer”. The characters talk about themselves, what they volunteer in, problems they face and good things they enjoy. Their stories debunk the myths about volunteering and for some people possibly open new world of volunteering.
The film crew literally follows in the character’s footsteps. We follow his schedule to demonstrate what it's like to be a volunteer.

SYNOPSIS:
Nurbolat Zhursin is an ethno-volunteer from Turkestan region. In 2020, his volunteer team helped save 6 cultural and historical heritage sites.
The video was published on 18 August 2020. As of 1 September 2020, Nurbolat’s story was viewed over 50 thousand times and generated over 100 comments.
